Zion National Park's Checkerboard Mesa is lit up by a full moon in this photo taken from the parking lot adjacent to the mesa. Night shooting is always so much fun and the results can be stunning.
Most of the time I just don't see things the same way others do. I think that is why I like HDR photography so much. LYLE

Golden Tree
A wonderful twisted tree trunk caught my eye as I was coming down from Checkerboard Mesa in Zion National Park. I stopped and lit it up with a flashlight and used a long exposure to get the stars in the photo also.
Yellow Grasses
While coming down from the east entrance and through the tunnel I noticed this wonderful bed of dried grasses running along the river. I stopped and sat on the river bank and took this shot. I really like the lines of the grass, river, and hills of Zion National Park.

Pale Rose
I submitted this photo to Shutterstock, it is the first submission that has been accepted. I look forward to many others in the future.
Flowing Water
This is a scene in the Big Cottonwood Creek. I really enjoy cascades that look so peaceful amid the rushing torrent of water surrounding them. A couple seconds on the shutter and a very tight aperture allows this flowing water look.
Silver Lake Walkway
On an outing at Silver Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon I wanted to shoot the grass reflection in the water until I noticed the wonderful lines of the walkway that leads to a fishing dock immediately behind me.
