Most of the time I just don't see things the same way others do. I think that is why I like HDR photography so much. LYLE

Old Cannon
I had to smile as I saw this old artillery piece, it was a 4" gun. While serving in the Colorado Army National Guard I was a cannoneer on a 155 Howitzer (6" gun). This one was on wheels so it could be rolled back from the ships side rail to be reloaded as it had no opening breech. Powder and ball were loaded down the bore and a small hole on the other end was so a string fuse could be inserted. I suppose they had to secure it somehow so it wouldn't roll backwards when it was touched off. Amazing, but effective.
