Cecret Lake has long been one of my favorite subjects. It is a little tiny lake in Albion Basin, UT but has so many faces that I never get tired of going there.
Most of the time I just don't see things the same way others do. I think that is why I like HDR photography so much. LYLE

Aspen on a Slope-in oil
I think this is one of my best aspen shots. I love the way the trail leads you into the photo at about the 1/3 point along with the slope of the mountain side. The aspen were just beginning to turn and had become a beautiful lime green. I applied an oil painting filter to this one to give it a bit of an abstract look.
Painted Aspen
Sometimes I just want to have fun with a photo. I really can't even call this a photo because it is so changed and modified. I shot it in manual then applied several filters to it. I really like the way it looks almost hand painted. I guess I have a latent desire to be an artist rather than a photographer.
Payson, UT Temple
This is the yet uncompleted temple in Payson, UT. It is essentially complete on the outside but the inside is not yet finished. I was there just the other day and stopped to take a few shots. This is a 5 shot HDR with on oil painting filter applied only to the landscaping. I also rendered it with a filter called find edges. It makes the lines of the building very crisp.

Ice Cicles
A friend of mine wanted to go shooting yesterday. We went back up into Big Cottonwood Canyon but all of the ice was gone on the falls, it only remained in small pockets along the way. We went part way up to Lake Blanch and found a little spot that was protected from the sun. I shot it and then used On One software to make it look like this. LYLE

Moulton Barn
This view of the Moulton Barn that stands on Mormon Row in front of the Grand Tetons is becoming one of my favorite shots I took while there. I really like the way the light plays on the trees in the background and the foreground is in shadow. They combine, along with the shallow ditch and tree to form very nice leading lines to direct your view to the barn.

Big Cottonwood falls detail
I really love Big Cottonwood Canyon just outside of Salt Lake City, UT. It has a very nice water flow with lots of small falls. I really like the way the fall leaves brighten up the scene.
