This view of the Moulton Barn that stands on Mormon Row in front of the Grand Tetons is becoming one of my favorite shots I took while there. I really like the way the light plays on the trees in the background and the foreground is in shadow. They combine, along with the shallow ditch and tree to form very nice leading lines to direct your view to the barn.
Most of the time I just don't see things the same way others do. I think that is why I like HDR photography so much. LYLE

Big Cottonwood falls detail
I really love Big Cottonwood Canyon just outside of Salt Lake City, UT. It has a very nice water flow with lots of small falls. I really like the way the fall leaves brighten up the scene.

Bull Dogging
While visiting my daughter in Twin Falls, ID we went to a rodeo. I had the opportunity of roaming the entire length of the stands and shooting the action. I think this photo really tells a story.
Parking Lot View
We pulled into a parking spot in the first parking lot we came to at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, this scene greeted me as I got out of the car. I couldn't pass it up. It is amazing how HDR brings out the colors in things.

Pine Cone
This pine cone was laying in about an inch of water at Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone. I thought it looked so neat and is one of only a few that I shot with a single capture.
Mammoth with a 24-70
I met a very nice photographer by the name of Ally Bain from the UK while shooting Mammoth. I had left my other lenses in my car and wanted to capture a wider view of the steps. He pulled his very nice 24-70 off of his camera and handed it to me. WOW, what a nice lens. Thanks Ally.
Mammoth and Beyond
This is a photo of the steps of Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone. It is very difficult to capture all of the detail of these steps without using HDR. But I also love the dynamic range of this type of photography along with the creative aspect it offers.

Big Cottonwood Rapids
I went up in the mountains this morning (retired now, you know) just below the trail head to Lake Blanch. This is a 5 shot HDR of what I saw. It was so nice to not be in a hurry to do anything and just enjoy the surroundings. Judi was at work so I was able to take my time at each spot. LYLE

Farmington Bay
In a rather uncharacteristic move, this photo is completely untouched (except for the signature). I did not even try to straighten and crop it, it is just the way I shot it. The sunset was incredible, every shot was a wonder. You just could not look in any direction and not see this wonderful beauty. LYLE

Logan's Gates
This wonderful view of the Logan, Utah temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seems to beckon one to enter and enjoy the tranquil setting of this magnificent building.
Logan Fountain View
The fountain at the Logan, UT temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides the foreground for this photo of the temple.
