Most of the time I just don't see things the same way others do. I think that is why I like HDR photography so much. LYLE

Hoping for Work
These figures are depicted as waiting in line for job applications. The taller one is actually a near perfect depiction of my dad, Ralph Sheneman. I was stunned when I saw it first about two years ago and was anxious to get back to the FDR Memorial so I could get this picture.
Washington's Dining Room
This is a view of the fireplace in the dining room at Mt Vernon, VA. It has been nicely restored and was a demonstration of the wealth of George Washington. This was in the servants quarters, I was not allowed to take photos in the main house.
Grist Mill
This is a view of the gears that run the flour mill that is a reproduction of the mill that George Washington owned and operated in Mt Vernon. He switched from raising tobacco to wheat when the British set the price for tobacco and would not let him sell to anyone else. The gears are made from rock maple and lubricated with animal fat.
Air Force Memorial
Sitting alongside the 395 Beltway in Washington, DC. It represents three jets as they break formation. The Washington Memorial stands in the background.
Temple Portico
Across the Fountain
The fountain on the grounds of the Washington, DC temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints forms a nice foreground for this photo of the temple. This is a very recognizable building in the DC area due to it's proximity to the 495 Beltway.
Gentle Reflection
Here the temple in Washington, DC is caught in a reflection in a small pool in front of the Visitor's Center.
Peaceful Arches
These wonderful arches invite one to sit and enjoy the serenity of the Bountiful Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many families wait anxiously here as their loved ones exit following a marriage ceremony in the beautiful temple. It is in temples like this that families are united for time and all eternity.
Bountiful UT Front Approach
This 12x12 photo of the Bountiful, UT temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a 5 shot HDR. The lines of the street seem to invite you to come and enjoy all of the blessings of this magnificent building.

Red Winged Blackbird
I have always had a fondness for Red Winged Blackbirds. They were very common in the area of Nebraska where we lived when I was young. This one was flitting back and forth between these cattails as I was on a walk with Judi. I set up the camera while Judi was getting in her walk. I shot it wide open in aperture mode to get the house and trees to blur into the background.
Approaching Bountiful
I was in Bountiful, UT on another photo shoot, on the way home I looked up the hill and there sat the beautiful Bountiful Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It just seemed to beckon to me so I drove up to it and decided to take a chance that I could get a clear shot of it. There were several weddings going on with the families waiting just outside. Patrons were coming and going but I was patient and it paid off well. This is a 5 shot HDR with a brand new lens and my Singh-ray color enhancing filter.
